The DIS Navigate App

Content development, stakeholder management, and strategy for information flows to optimize user engagement.

The DIS Navigate app is a personalized, central dashboard to support DIS students throughout their student journey.

It is a platform to engage and connect students, offering users an individualized communication flow and personalized resources tailored to their specific needs, as well as a platform for community-building.

My role

I played a central role in developing and launching the DIS Navigate app, and was involved in making decisions on everything from our vendor, to navigation structure, app name, and visual identity.

My specific focus was content development and distribution. I drove stakeholder discussions on information flows between the website and app, contributing insight on what content should reside on each platform to optimize the user experience. As a part of my role in centralizing student communications, I developed strategies for effectively delivering information through the app, and established clear guidelines for content distribution to ensure consistency.

Building excitement

I developed launch materials for print and digital, including graphics for newsletters highlighting key features.

Creating a seamless user journey

Our goal was to create a curated and personalized experience, making it easier for students to find what matters to them on the spot. This involved mapping user journeys and reiterating concepts based on feedback from users and stakeholders.

After a successful launch, we transitioned from implementation to maintenance, and my role shifted to providing guidance to a team of App Superusers on creating engaging content aligned with the DIS brand.

I continue to work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the app is an effective platform for sharing information, organizing events, building community, and driving engagement.
